     Virginia-born, Louisiana-raised United States Coast Guard brat, I moved to Atlanta after graduating with a Fine Arts degree from LSU, where I met my husband, had two beautiful girls and a 27- year career in Advertising and later, Education.  Upon my husband's retirement from the Atlanta Fire Rescue, we moved to Vero Beach, Florida where the journey continues but in a much more tranquil environment.

 

    Capturing the soul is the primary objective to my artwork.  As a spiritual being, I do my best to harness the energy the subject evokes.  Through color, stroke and style, the spirit and emotions are painted into the canvas as if to breathe life into its new source.

 

    The artwork within this site encompasses the journey of experimentation of mediums, styles and subject matter.   They represent the variation of my playing.   Since living at the beach, my primary focus of my art is the watercolor series, Birds of North America.
